There will be four different live streams, including a pancake breakfast with Mayor John Tory (9 to 10 a.m.) and evening performances by Haviah Mighty, Gordon Lightfoot and Choir! From virtual light show to augmented reality-based fireworks, there is a lot planned by the government on Canada Day 2020, which falls on Wednesday this year. The city is capping the number of ferry tickets sold per day at 5,000 due to COVID-19. As per reports, The CN tower light show will feature “powerful light cannons” and “a playlist featuring music by a diverse group of Canadian artists.” After the light show, a virtual fireworks display will be arranged by the authorities, which gives the residents an opportunity to use their smartphone, tablet or computer to watch fireworks in a “fun and innovative way.” The show begins at 10 pm local time and will reportedly last for three minutes.
