We had reserved a parking spot, but on arrival, the only one available was extremely narrow and against a stone wall - only a bike could have maneuvered into it, not a car; it should not have been counted as a parking spot. Across from Laval University, and only short drive from the heart of Old Quebec, this hotel offers an on-site Scandinavian spa, indoor pool and easy access to area attractions. The shower had a nice massage head with adjustable settings and excellent water pressure. The decor is creative and fun to look at. They do have extra cost parking  though the spaces are very tight however just having a parking lot is a major plus in the old city. There are a lot of pluses with Le Champlain Hotel. My friend and I stayed in a cute double with the beds facing each other. Choose your preferred language. The problem is that it looked completely different than on the website! Breakfast included small pastries, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and cereal. If your preferences run more to the clean, conveniently located, but basic, the Champlain might be just to your liking.
